New Groundbreaking Treatments Announced!July 27, 2018
A few months ago, we released our new Pico Rejuvenation treatment with a ground-breaking new machine. It quickly became one of our most sought-after treatments because it’s a much more comfortable way to treat pigmentation for an even complexion and improved skin tone. Some of our patients said it felt satisfying, and it made their skin dewey and fresh.
While launching the new Pico Rejuvenation, we also spent several months reviewing protocols for other treatments this model can do. We trained with company representatives and measured results within our own practice. Here is a breakdown of the three brand-new treatments we’ve developed and the technology behind them:
The new generation of PicoCare 450 laser uses frictional mechanical energy (also referred to as “vibrational energy”), with very little heat. It can treat the deeper layers of skin without breaking through the surface. This means that treatments are more comfortable with considerably less redness and swelling, compared to other laser treatments.
This new generation of Pico Laser also delivers pulses of energy at an exceptionally fast rate, which makes it more efficient. All three of our newly researched and developed treatments can help you achieve better results with fewer treatments.
Pico Rejuvenation Laser Toning
In case you missed our previous post about this one, Pico Rejuvenation is excellent for treating pigmentation, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, mottled discolouration, redness, rosacea, and darkened freckles commonly caused by ageing and sun damage.
The frictional mechanical energy means that Pico Rejuvenation is also a safer treatment for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
Pico Deep Laser Toning
Our newly-developed treatment, Pico Deep, uses more advanced laser settings than Pico Rejuvenation to reach the deeper layers of skin. This allows it to treat deep, stubborn pigmentation, melasma and more.
As mentioned above, what makes this treatment so revolutionary is that it reaches the deeper layers of skin without breaking through the surface layer, so there is less redness and downtime following treatment compared to other lasers that go to similar depths.
Pico Repair Resurfacing
While Pico Rejuvenation and Pico Deep target pigmentation, Pico Repair targets scar tissue. It breaks the tissue down while also stimulating your collagen-producing cells to rebuild. Pico Repair requires a different handpiece and more specialised settings than Pico Rejuvenation and Pico Deep, but it also uses frictional mechanical energy at faster pulses to achieve results in fewer treatments, with much less discomfort and downtime than other laser treatments for scarring.
Pico Repair is effective for scarring, acne scarring, ice pick scars, surgical scars and even scars caused by injury.
