Growth factors are derived from a sample of your own blood and injected into the dermal tissue of your face, neck, décolletage and hands. Naturally occurring growth factors activate the multiplication of your collagen-producing cells to achieve anti-ageing benefits, skin repair and improved complexion.
Growth Factor Plus is a combination of naturally occurring growth factors and our advanced synthetic Glow Factor formula, which contains vitamins, antioxidants and micro amounts of dermal fillers to gently plump your skin while it enhances the overall health and appearance of your complexion.
By combining growth factors with the Glow Factor Injection, we give your skin an extra boost to make the treatments even more effective.
Thickening, strengthening and tightening of loose, fine skin on many areas of the face or body. Most commonly the fine cheek smile creases (accordion lines), fine creased eyelid skin and the thinner skin on the neck.
There are also some thickening, strengthening and volumising benefits, particularly on indented and skin that has been damaged from acne scarring – usually the mid cheek area, especially where there has been a loss of volume.
By improving texture, pores and surface complexion, PRP also enhances the cosmetic surface complexion.
The most readily available form of growth factors are obtained directly from your own blood. We extract the blood, run it through a centrifuge and inject the product directly into the subcutaneous layer of skin.
The process of extraction, harvesting and application make a huge difference to the efficacy of the treatment. We have the latest harvesting system together with experienced injectors and a specialised injection handpiece for best results.
We take a sample of your blood and use highly advanced equipment to extract the growth factors from the sample. Then, numbing cream is applied to the area being treated and left on for 5-10 minutes. After this, the skin is cleansed and, using the injecting device, the PRP is injected at a consistent depth (maximum 1mm).
It depends on the size of the area being treated. Including numbing, extraction and injection time, it normally takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour for the full face.
We recommend 24 hours of downtime following treatment. There will be some redness and possibly mild bruising, which is normal and subsides quickly.
There is no aftercare, however, we recommend that you take extra precaution with the sun for a few days after treatment.
We recommend 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart to achieve the best results.
The growth factors repair the collagen and elastin fibres in your skin, so it can take a few weeks after your treatment course to show results. You should notice restored volume, elasticity and an improved, healthier appearance in your skin.
